The Star Ferry is one of the iconic sites of Hong Kong connecting Central on Hong Kong Island to Tsim Sha Tsui in Kowloon. The nine minute journey offers incredible views of Victoria Harbour and is one of the quickest and cheapest ways to cross between Hong Kong Island and Kowloon on the mainland.The current company was founded in 1888 and a regular service has been in place ever since. Before Kowloon was ceded to the British in both Hong Kong and Canton currency could be used to pay for the crossing.
