Opening in 2000, the London Eye was originally planned to last just five years. Today it stands as one of the original tourist attractions in the UK.Standing 135 metres tall it features 32 pods which hold 25 people which take around 30 minutes for a full rotation. The Eye offers views directly across to Big Ben and the Palace of Westminster as well as the wider London skyline.
